Batch mode
Every image will be resized to and downloaded as one ZIP. Change the size below before you start.
Works with images up to roughly 50 MP (about 8000 × 6000 px) depending on your device's memory. WebP export is unavailable in a few older Safari versions — the option is disabled automatically when that is the case.
How it works
Three steps, no account, no watermark.
Add your image
Drag a file onto the box, click to browse, or paste straight from your clipboard with Ctrl + V. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Frame it
The crop box is already locked to 720 × 720. Drag the image to move it and scroll or pinch to zoom until it looks right.
Download
Pick PNG, JPG or WebP. The file is compressed automatically to stay under Google Business Profile's limit — or grab every Google Business Profile size at once as a ZIP.
About the google business profile cover photo size
This one comes with a caveat worth reading. Google's own Business Profile documentation specifies 720 × 720 pixels as the recommended resolution, 250 × 250 as the minimum, JPG or PNG, and a file between 10 KB and 5 MB — and it applies those same figures to every photo type, including the cover. The widely repeated 1024 × 576 does not appear in Google's documentation at all, even though nearly every size guide on the web quotes it.
Both are here, and both are useful. Use 720 × 720 when you want to follow Google's stated requirements exactly. Use the 1024 × 576 landscape crop when you want the image to sit well in the wide banner slot Google shows on desktop search — it is a 16:9 shape and it is what the rest of the industry has standardised on. What you should not do is upload something below 250 × 250, which Google will reject outright.
Every Google Business Profile image size
The complete list — click any row to load that size into the tool, or use the ZIP button to export all of them at once. Official means the platform publishes that figure itself; Recommended means it is the widely used standard where the platform publishes none.
| Image | Size (px) | Max file | Source | What to know | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cover photo | 720 × 720 | 5 MB | Official | Google's documented recommendation for every photo, cover included: 720 × 720, minimum 250 × 250. | |
| Cover photo (landscape) | 1024 × 576 | 5 MB | Recommended | 16:9. Widely recommended and it fits the landscape crop, but it is not in Google's own documentation. | |
| Logo | 720 × 720 | 5 MB | Official | Square. Same requirements as every other photo on the profile. | |
| Business photo | 720 × 720 | 5 MB | Official | Interior, exterior and team photos all follow the same 720 × 720 guidance. |
Tips for Google Business Profile
What actually makes the difference once the size is right.
Show the actual place
Google Business photos are shown to people deciding whether to visit. A recognisable shopfront or interior does more than a logo or a stock image.
Stay inside 10 KB to 5 MB
Google's documented range. Under 10 KB is rejected as too low quality; over 5 MB is rejected outright. The green check here confirms it before you upload.
Avoid heavy filters
Google's own guidance asks for photos that are in focus, well lit and free of significant alteration. Heavily processed images can be removed.
Google picks what to show
You can set a cover, but Google still chooses which image leads in some surfaces. Upload several strong photos rather than relying on one.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a Google Business Profile cover photo?
Google's documentation states 720 × 720 pixels recommended, 250 × 250 minimum, JPG or PNG, between 10 KB and 5 MB. It gives no separate figure for the cover specifically.
Why do other sites say 1024 × 576?
It is a long-standing convention that fits the 16:9 landscape slot on desktop search, but it does not appear anywhere in Google's own documentation. Both sizes are offered on this page so you can choose.
What is the minimum size Google accepts?
250 × 250 pixels. Below that the upload is rejected.
Does setting a cover photo guarantee it appears first?
No. Google decides which photo leads in different places, so the cover is a preference rather than a guarantee.
What file formats are accepted?
JPG and PNG. This tool exports both, plus WebP where the browser supports it.
Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. It is processed on your own device inside the browser.
