About the pinterest pin size
Pinterest recommends a 2:3 ratio, and 1000 × 1500 pixels is the size that hits it cleanly. This matters more on Pinterest than on other platforms because the feed is a masonry grid: taller pins occupy more column space and get noticed, but pins taller than 2:3 are visually truncated, with a 'see more' cutoff that hides your closing message.
Pinterest is also a search engine as much as a social network, which changes how the image should be built. Pins are frequently read at about 236 pixels wide in the grid. Text on a pin needs to be large and layered over a clear area, and the subject should be recognisable at thumbnail scale, because that is the size at which someone decides whether to click through to your site.

Tips for Pinterest
What actually makes the difference once the size is right.
2:3 is the ceiling, not a suggestion
1000 × 1500 shows in full. Go much taller and Pinterest truncates the pin in the feed — the bottom of your design simply disappears.
Text overlay in the top third
The top of a pin is what appears first as the grid scrolls. Put the promise there, not at the bottom.
Design for 236 px wide
That is roughly the grid size on desktop. If your headline is not readable there, the pin will not earn a click.
Make a square version too

What is the best Pinterest pin size?

Can I make a taller pin?
You can go up to about 1000 × 2100, but Pinterest truncates long pins in the feed with a cutoff. Use it only when the top of the pin can stand alone.

Does pin size affect reach?
