About the twitch panel size
Twitch panels sit under your video player and carry everything a viewer might want after they have decided to stay: your schedule, your rig, your socials, your donation link. The one hard constraint is the width. Twitch renders panels at exactly 320 pixels across, and anything wider is scaled down to fit — which is why panels made at 400 or 500 pixels wide look soft and slightly wrong on a real channel.
The height is genuinely up to you. 300 pixels is the common convention and it suits a title plus a short line of text, but taller panels work fine for a schedule table and shorter ones for a simple button. What matters is consistency: a column of panels at wildly different heights and styles reads as clutter, while a matched set reads as a channel someone looks after.

Tips for Twitch
What actually makes the difference once the size is right.
320 pixels wide, always
Twitch scales anything wider down to 320. Designing at the real width is the difference between crisp panels and soft ones.
Pick one height and stick to it
A column of matched panels looks designed. Mixed heights and styles look like they were collected over two years, which they usually were.
Panels are clickable — say where they go
Each panel can carry a link. Make the destination obvious from the image itself rather than relying on the description text.
Big type only
At 320 pixels wide, anything below a large heading size is hard work on a laptop and impossible on a phone.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a Twitch panel?
320 pixels wide is fixed by Twitch. 300 pixels tall is the common convention, but the height is flexible — 320 × 300 is the standard starting point.
Can I make a taller Twitch panel?
Yes. The width is locked at 320 but you can go taller for schedules or longer content. Keep the set consistent.
Why do my panels look blurry?
Almost always because they were designed wider than 320 pixels and Twitch scaled them down. Export at 320 wide.
How many panels should a channel have?
Enough to answer the obvious questions and no more. Four to six well-made panels beat a dozen half-finished ones.
Should panels be PNG or JPG?
PNG if they contain text and flat colour, which most do. JPG only if a panel is essentially a photograph.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything is processed locally in your browser.
